Trying to decide between scooter style and conversion kit
« on: June 19, 2013, 11:48:29 AM »
Hi - I've looking on the goldenmotors.ca website and trying to learn all I can about their kits. Specifically the Magic Pie 3. My thinking is that a conversion bike would be easier to pedal should I ever run out of juice.  After riding my buddy's Vienna Rocket (scooter style) I badly want one but can't decide which way to go.  Perhaps someone with experience can chime in and advise?
- Trek Full Suspension, 9c hub motor, 18s2p lipo... weeeee
- just a simple guy in a complicated world...

Hi Pete. Welcome to the forums.

As you mentioned, should you ever need to pedal or prefer to pedal often than I would opt for the Magic Pie 3 converted bicycle. You have a lot more customizability options on a bicycle as oppose to the scooters as well as cheaper maintenance in the long run.

I think the conversion choice is the way to go because it affords you options than a scooter. The Vienna Rocket sounds like a fun ride, but since you're openly thinking about pedaling, the Magic Pie 3 is probably best.
